Guernsey’s Regulator Issues Latest Fiduciary Rules and Guidance

19 February 2020

The GFSC have recently issued new Rulebooks to take the place of and strengthen the previous Codes of Practice. These Rulebooks will govern the way businesses operate in both the Private Client and Pensions arena and will ensure that appropriate policies procedures and controls are implemented when undertaking the administration of Fiduciary Business.

The new regime brings the Guernsey Rulesbook into compliance with the GIFCS (Group of International Finance Centres Supervisors) Standards.

Rhona Humphreys, Imperium Operations & Compliance Director, said:

This is a positive move for Guernsey and Imperium will now be updating all of our polices and procedures to ensure the new rules are being met in time for when the rules come into force on 31st December 2020.
