Imperium Jersey will participate in the Shelter Soup Kitchen in Royal Square this December.

The annual Christmas fundraiser sees firms and restaurants contribute soup to be sold to raise money for Shelter, which supports people experiencing homelessness in Jersey.

Last year, the event celebrated its silver anniversary and raised £27,000, which went towards providing 100,000 meals a year and supporting more than 400 individuals Shelter helps.

For the first time, Imperium will participate and serve Tomato and red pepper soup. Imperium has partnered with Beresford Street Kitchen for the catering.

Imperium Director Robert Ayliffe said, “We’re really pleased to be taking part in this popular event. It is the perfect time of year to contribute to something that helps those in need, especially around Christmas.”

All proceeds from the event go to The Shelter Trust in Jersey.
