Client Services Manager

Fergus Amy

After serving as an Infantry Officer in the British Army, Fergus moved into the finance industry in 1996, joining a large multi-service law firm. Gaining experience in both private and corporate client work, as well as occupational retirement funds, his interests steered him towards business development in the private client sector. In 1999, he was engaged as a consultant overseeing the merger of two private financial service providers in Geneva, and instantly fell in love with the city!

After a brief return to Jersey, in 2001 he relocated on a permanent basis to Geneva as Head of Business Development for the European trust arm of a global financial institution. He has subsequently worked for large multinational banking corporations, as well as small independent Trust Companies in roles ranging from Business Development to Corporate Governance, as well as Private Client administration.

An Associate member of both the Corporate Governance Institute and CISI, Fergus joined Imperium in Jersey in 2024 and currently manages a complex portfolio of private client structures within the Client Services area of the business.

He is a keen sportsman, although no longer as nimble as in his younger days, but continues to swim regularly, is a keen skier, a qualified water polo referee and former player, and is a supporter and former player (and occasionally coach) of rugby. Bi-lingual French and English, Fergus is also an experienced musician and published photographer, and in what little spare time he has, travels to Paris and Geneva to visit his grown up daughters!
