Senior Investment Associate – Midmar

Hari Selvam

Hari is a Senior Investment Associate at Midmar and has developed his experience across compliance and investment functions.

He joined Midmar Capital in 2021 as a Compliance Assistant intern as part of his postgraduate placement programme and has progressed within the firm. He was appointed to perform the FCA Client Dealing certified function in August 2023 and was promoted to Senior Investment Associate in August 2025.

Originally from Malaysia, Hari moved to Edinburgh in 2016 to study at Heriot-Watt University, where he graduated with an upper second-class degree in Economics. He subsequently completed an MSc in International Business Management with Industry Placement, graduating with Merit in December 2022.

His Master’s dissertation focused on the effectiveness of crypto-asset regulation in the UK from both compliance and commercial perspectives.

Hari is also part of the Midmar Investment Team and a voting member of the Investment committee.
