Compliance Consultant – Midmar

Laura Thomson

Laura is a Compliance Consultant at Midmar and advises on marketing approvals, fund closes, onboarding of appointed representatives and approved persons, as well as market abuse and MNPI matters.

She joined Midmar Capital in February 2019 in a part-time capacity. Laura began her career in financial services in London in 2001 and has specialised in compliance since 2004, with a focus on investment banking, research and securities divisions.

Laura spent eight years in Hong Kong working for Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs before returning to the UK in 2018, where she relocated to Edinburgh.
