Imperium Group‘s UK Director Grant Twine BSc (Hons) ACIS MIoD lead a sell out STEP Guernsey lunchtime lecture presenting to members and delegates on the Register of Overseas Entities (RoOE) in Guernsey last week.

Grant provided a briefing on the new law and requirements with a particular focus on their relevance to Guernsey CSPs and Trust providers as well as an overview of Imperium’s RoOE service and experiences of filings made so far on behalf of existing clients and 3rd parties.

From 1 August 2022, all Non-UK companies that own UK land or property (or who have disposed of land or property since 28 Feb 2022) need to register on the UK Register of Overseas Entities by 31 Jan 2023. As part of this a UK regulated agent will need to verify the information on the overseas entity and its beneficial owners or managing officers (as applicable). Imperium UK have been authorised as an agent from early August and have established a framework and process to assist clients within Imperium’s group to complete the filings as well as being able to assist 3rd party or external clients whom are not already known to the Imperium Group.
