Imperium Hosts 5th Annual Charity Padel Tournament

Imperium hosted its 5th Annual Padel Tournament this summer, bringing together colleagues, intermediaries and friends for an evening of sport and fundraising in support of Parkinson’s Guernsey.
This year’s tournament saw a record number of teams enter, reflecting both the growing popularity of the event and the commitment to an important local cause.
Competition was fierce, but it was Imperium who came away with the Shield, while Titan secured the Plate. We were also delighted to welcome an international entrant from LGT’s London office, adding an extra dimension to the tournament.
Euan Melrose, Director of Imperium Guernsey, commented: “It’s fantastic to see this tournament go from strength to strength over the past five years. Not only does it bring people together in the spirit of friendly competition, but it also allows us to make a meaningful contribution to Parkinson’s Guernsey, a charity that close to many of us at Imperium. We are grateful to all who took part and supported the event this year.”
The funds raised from the event are ringfenced and go towards paying for padel court hire for Guernsey locals in the early stages of Parkinson’s. This year was the second year there was a team entered by Parkinson’s Guernsey from the players who have benefitted from the fundraising in the past, with the team securing three wins in the groups to make it through to the plate knockouts.
The tournament continues to be a highlight in Imperium’s calendar, celebrating teamwork, community spirit, and the power of sport to make a difference.
