Imperium Takes on the GO100 Challenge
Imperium was proud to support this year’s GO100 initiative, hosting a cycling relay event to raise funds for the GO charity in Guernsey.
GO100 is a fundraising campaign led by GO, a local social enterprise that provides training and support to islanders facing a range of disadvantages. The aim is to enlist 100 local businesses, each raising £1,000, to collectively reach a target of £100,000 in 2025. Funds raised will help GO deliver 100 days of life-changing training to disadvantaged members of the community.
As part of the challenge, Imperium hosted a fast-paced relay in which six teams, each made up of five participants, competed to complete 60km in the quickest time. The atmosphere was energetic, competitive and full of good humour as teams pushed themselves for a fantastic cause.
Beating strong competition from Barclays, Canaccord, Carey Olsen, Leonard Curtis and even their own colleagues, Investec’s first team claimed the title, finishing their 60km stint in the fastest time.
Imperium Group Managing Director, David Gilmour, shared his appreciation for everyone involved: “GO100 is a brilliant reminder of what Guernsey does best: coming together, pushing ourselves, and supporting our community. We’re proud to play our part and incredibly grateful to everyone who joined, contributed, or cheered us on from the side lines.”
